This is a 2 day pistol course designed to give you strong foundational habits and skills that will allow you to achieve  high performance in any application with a pistol.

The information, concepts and exercises I will give you in this course come from the knowledge I have gained in over 22 years of shooting as a profession and a passion.  During my career as a professional shooter both Combat and Competitive Shooting in the US Army Special Forces and as a 2 division USPSA Grand Master, I have gained my knowledge, through, experience, failure, success and observation with an open mind.  I have a very strong passion for performance shooting, I enjoy doing it and I enjoy coaching others to do it and refine all the little things that make us better and faster at putting bullets on targets.

In order to achieve high performance shooting you need a solid foundation, EVERYTHING is built on this foundation.  This course will start with understanding just how simple all shooting is, even extremely high performance and dynamic shooting is a very simple thing.  If we understand all the components and we actually train to develop good habits then we can make it easy to execute the simple concepts of shooting and achieve performance.

During this course we will discuss developing 3 types of habits MENTAL habits, VISUAL habits and then physical habits.  Performance based shooting is 90% Mental and Visual and only about 10% physical.  When we approach training the right way and be mentally and visually present when we are putting in the reps then we will develop the physical hard skills required for performance shooting.

I will give you some solid foundational dry fire and live fire exercises that you can use to develop and refine your shooting habits.  In addition to these habit development exercises you will leave with some base hard skill evaluations to measure your development.

The course will start with static shooting and laying down the foundational concepts of just how much we can see while we are shooting the guns.  Once we are visually and mentally tuned in to what the guns are doing we will start working on some physical habits to make the guns do what we want them to do (recoil recovery mechanics and use of our bodies to support what we want to see)  We will progress  into movement and some fairly dynamic and challenging exercises that will help develop visual processing speed, body mechanics and a variety of movement.
